Family Pix

This was actually taken in September when Matt & Lisa were here for Caitlin's Birthday.

Grand Champions!!!

This past weekend Caitlin's Stunt Cheer Squad participated in their first competition of the season. They not only took 1st place in their division they also took the grand championship. If you look closely Caitlin is holding the "Trophey Cup" in her left hand. Congratulations girls...!!! (If you double-click on a photo it will come up in a different window...larger. Caitlin is to the far left in the group photo. Use arrows to scroll up or down or right to left to see the entire photo. Then click back to return to the blog.)

The Ring...!!!

The boy done good...!!! It's just what she wanted... He was paying attention! :-)

They're Engaged...!!!

This actually occured in the later part of August...by happenstance it took place at the capitol in Austin...you can ask Matthew about it some time. Unfortunately something was wiggy with the camera...but the moment was still captured!

Sweet Sixteen!!!

So on September 15, 2007 our little girl turned 16... and as afore mentioned it was a really busy crazy day, but everything went off as planned...YAY!!! As her brother before her who was "stringed" at his 16th she had to endure this family tradition...needless to say she was not too happy with us...you know we messed up her hair!!! :-) But she got over it...

Class Act All-Stars

So besides cheering for her high school Caitlin also performs with a stunt cheer team...they compete about once a month and perform locally at basketball games, summer festivals, etc. In April their season will culminate at Nationals in Chicago...The county fair was their first performance of the season. (In the top photo she is front and center on one knee...in the bottom photo she is the furthest to the right basing...can you see how high they throw their flyer...? Imagine practicing that a bunch...Caitlin's getting quite the toned body! :-)

County Fair Cheer-Off...

Every year during our county fair there is a cheer competition. This year 7 schools participated...there are two schools (Bryan & Edgerton) that always vie for 1st place... (Bryan took it this year). Caitlin's School (Hilltop) took 3rd....they were ecstactic!!! The seniors cried.

The cheer-off was on her birthday and her party was that night...what a busy day!!!!! Matt & Lisa had just flown in the day before (into Detroit). This meant Bubby could see her cheer! YAY! And not once, but twice. Her stunt cheer team performed exhibition that day, as well.

Camping...

We love to camp...currently we don't get to go as often as we would like, but it's become tradition to go every Memorial Day Weekend & Labor Day Weekend. We go with Steve's oldest brother Mike's family to Pokagon State Park in Indiana. This past trip was glorious...the weather was fantastic...mostly in the 70's and no rain!!! It rained most of the time Memorial Day Weekend so we were due for the good stuff... :-)

Friday Night Lights...

This year Caitlin not only marches in the band at football games...she's also a JV Cheerleader. We were rained out our 1st & 3rd games...fun, fun, fun. Because of course they don't call it right away...we all have to get good and wet first, and then add some mosquitoes... oh,the stuff memories are made of...it's been a bummer that Steve has had to work, but I keep him updated on the score and so forth by text messaging him. Since my health has been better I've really enjoyed the games...there really is nothing like a Friday night game in a small town in midwest USA...it's very all-american!

Caiti Marches On...

So you have to pretend that this is an August post...life has been so busy that this is the first chance I've had to post anything! I took these pics before Labor Day Weekend. The band she marches in is so cool...they are very small, but they have a very big sound!!! They learn 3 separate shows...different music and choreography for each! And all music is memorized...this really is amazing...

New Camera...

Thought I'd add the latest pix of Matthew and his girlfriend, Lisa...(when she isn't having an allergic reaction!) :~) He took this with his new camera... Aren't they darling...?!!!

Weight Loss...

Yes, I've lost a little weight in the past several months...I still have a long way to go...I've not been strictly on my program for the last 7 weeks, so I've not continued to lose, but the good news is I'm basically maintaining. I have to work at it and I desperately want to get serious again, but something always seems to come up...Matthew was home...the 4th of July...our town's summer festival...Cedar Point this weekend~ Excuses, Excuses, Excuses...right?!!! Oh, well...I'll get there...I can't go back...I've already gotten rid of my bigger clothes! :~) lol.

The New Miss Montpelier 2007

Okay, so this weekend we became the proud aunt & uncle of the new reigning Miss Montpelier 2007. Steve's oldest brother's daughter Emily Moore took the crown (she is his third daughter). His oldest daughter Rachel (far right) is the executive director of the pageant. His second daughter was 1st runner up a few years ago and the youngest has taken awards, as well when she was in it...! Caitlin thought she might be in it at some point, but we've learned that because she goes to school out of district she is not eligible. :~(

Matt & Caiti...

As their friends refer to them...(Can you see Caitlin's new braces...? If you can't, this is good...we paid extra for the transluscent ones! :~) She so glad to finally have them on.)

Our Babies...

All grown up...!!!

New Girlfriend...

So....when Matthew was home in June he brought his new girlfriend with him. Her name is Lisa Jorgenson and she grew up in San Antonio. She is just about to finish her second year with Teen Mania in August. While she was here in Ohio she had a really bad allergic reaction to something! We never did figure out what it was to and the thing was...she's never ever been allergic to anything. She was really miserable her last two days with us...she woke up with a swollen lower lip Saturday A.M. and as the day progressed her upper lip became really swollen as well. She broke out in big itchy welts all over her body. The benadryl made her sleepy, so bless her heart she slept on a blanket most of day at the state park. Later in the day we did have Matthew take her to an urgent care facility...I was frustrated that they did not give her a steroid shot, only a script that knocked her out...it wasn't until she got back to Texas that she was finally administered steroids and that stopped the reaction, but she suffered for 4 long days before she got any relief. :( In this pic her lips are swollen, but I think it's a really cute picture anyway! We were never able to take anymore though, because she was feeling so bad...And we were going to have her take our family pics on Sunday, but the meds had her knocked out. So as a result we were never able to get any "good" photos this time.

The Moore 4

Okay, so here is the most current pix of the Moore Clan...it was taken 6/16/07 when Matthew was home for a few days. As you can see Steve did not get the memo about wearing white... :) Actually, the rest of us did it by accident...We're at our favorite state park in Indiana ready for a day of fun & sun...swimming, picnicking, games, etc. We had hoped to take more photos the next day once we were all showered and dressed "appropriately", but due to some circumstances (I'll explain later...) it was never to be.

Well, Hello There...

Just got done looking at my sister-in-law's blog site and since I'm already on 2 other blog sites I thought, heck, why not another one!!! :) HeHe But really...maybe the rest of our family could set up sites here, too. And we could all stay better connected...hint, hint, hint. No, really I've thought for years we should do something like this...I always wanted to create my own web page where I could post all the extended family happenings, etc. And we could all frequent the site...well, that was just too ambitious a project for me...considering I'm pretty computer illiterate...but how easy is this???!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to post some recent pix, but haven't figured that out, yet. As soon as I do...You'll see them posted!
